  • 1. Make the basil syrup: In a small pot, add basil leaves and water. Bring to a boil over high heat; let it boil for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let the basil syrup come to room temperature. Strain, removing the basil leaves, and store in the refrigerator for later use
  • 2. Make the SodaStream Country Time Lemonade according to directions
  • 3. Add ¼ cup (2 ounces) basil syrup to the glass.
  • 4. Top with lemonade and garnish with basil leaves.
  • 5. To turn this herbal lemonade into a cocktail, add 2 ounces gin with the basil syrup into a glass; top with lemonade.
